Arts Centre (TAPAC) was the first property to be acquired under the National Arts Council's Arts Housing Scheme in 1985.

Marina Bay is an artificial bay located close to the Central Area in the southern part of Singapore,
and lies to the east of the Downtown Core. The construction of Singapore’s first casino is underway, part of the much-anticipated
Marina Sands Integrated Resort, a world-class resort making up of theatres, exhibition centres, museums and luxury shopping
outlets. Marina Bay is set to be a leading business centre in the region, catering to the international crowd with its top-notch
offerings.
Raffles Place
Located close to Marina Bay, in the Downtown Core and Central
Area is Raffles Place, named after the founder of Singapore. Here lie the famous landmarks and skyscrapers of Singapore, including
UOB Plaza, OUB Centre, Republic Plaza, One Raffles Quay and OCBC Centre. Singapore’s monument, the Merlion and the durian
shaped Art Centre Esplanade Theatre are just a stone’s throw away. The Singapore Exchange – the stock exchange
of Singapore is also situated in Raffles Place. Key landmarks close to the area include the Parliament House, the old Supreme
Court building and City Hall.
A towering 165-metre high ferris wheel at Raffles Place, the Singapore Flyer, overlooks
the breathtaking, panoramic view of Singapore. It is said to be the world’s largest giant observation wheel.
People’s
Park
People’s Park Complex, located within Singapore’s Chinatown, is a commercial and residential
building on Eu Tong Sen Street in Outram. Bound by Upper Pickering Street, Cantonment Road, New Bridge Road and South Bridge
Road, Chinatown is a culturally-rich heritage area. Today, there are many shops selling tourist souvenirs, from Singapore
t-shirts to intricately designed handmade crafts. A myriad of colours and sounds welcomes visitors in the streets of Chinatown,
a bustling place where Chinese merchants promote their wares in crowded streets.
Just around the junction of Cross
Street, New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street, modern shopping complexes such as Chinatown Point, Yue Hwa and Chinatown Complex
offers a wide selection of electronic products, luggage, textiles, clothes and cosmetics. For more traditional fare, head
to Singapore Handicraft Centre at Chinatown Point for some local crafts.
Access to other major parts of Singapore is
convenient with the Outram MRT Station, Chinatown MRT Station and Raffles Place MRT Station.
